| English in 24 HoursSM has been used as an aid in the classroom for 20 years to teach spoken and written English to adults, enabling them to enter the workforce or continue their education in an English-speaking classroom in a short amount of time. This edition of English in 24 HoursSM continues to provide three levels of proficiencies, P1, P2, P3, which bring the student to an intermediate level of English as a Second Language (ESL).

The course is entirely in English and begins with the alphabet, assuming a “zero” vocabulary level, including assistance in writing letters and printing for those learners whose native language does not use the Latin Alphabet. The first level brings a student to a speaking, reading and writing fluency to be able to communicate with some efficiency in the everyday English-speaking world.

What’s in the Course
Each Proficiency Level consists of a binder with a packet of 8 lessons that make up 24 hours of classroom instruction time. Each lesson is divided into skills starting with the alphabet, printing skills (if needed) and spelling skills in the first three hours of instruction. Students receive a new lesson each three hours of at the completion of the current lesson with comprehension of the concept being taught. Extra activities are included in a complete course kit such as: vocabulary add-ons, verb games, assessments, grids for printing practices, etc., (used as needed depending on the abilities or non-abilities of the individual students in the classroom) For classroom help, posters of grammar and structure formulas are available as extra supports. In addition to the instructor’s manual, training and technical support for the users are provided.
